It's hard to believe that my time in Bulgaria is coming to an end. The eight weeks flew by, on the one hand, and on the other hand I have learned so much that I feel like it was not enough time and there is so much more I want to learn.
It was a wonderful opportunity to work with such a diverse team and to learn more about the NGO world. I had the chance to learn with and from coworkers with refugee and migrant backgrounds and the team included individuals from Iraq, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Tunisia, and Lebanon.
I am grateful for the mentorship and support receive throughout my time at the International Foundation for Y-PEER Development.
On July 10th I traveled to Athens, Greece to start the Summer Program on Refugee and Migration Studies. I look forward to bringing what I learned from the internship to the course and to integrate the practical experiences with the academic knowledge.
I am immensely grateful for the generous support from Harvard’s Women and Public Policy Program which afforded me this wonderful opportunity in Bulgaria!
